Store Your Collection in Unique Ways
This article is not for those of you who don't want your
friends to know that you are a tv dork. This article is only for people
who think there friends will be impressed that you just got the latest
complete serason of your favorite show, and are hoping you will let them
borrow it. This article will deal with showing off your collection. It
might require that you enter an MJ Designs, they key to creativity. Just
imagine this, say your a big fan of the TV Show Cheers, they just released
Season 1, but you plan on owning the entire series. You do realize this
will take up your entire shelf? You looking at over 10 DVD Collections,
and if each one runs you $30-$40, thats quite an investment. So how do
you plan to display this collection?
We have a few ideas for you. First,
why not devote a shelf in your living room directly to your show. Just
make a simple wall shelf, buy two book ends (preferably the color of boxes
in the collection). If you want to be more fancy you can paint this wood
in the design of your show, make print outs from yourr computer and put
the picture on the back of the shelf on the wall, or hanging off the wall.
Use your imagination the best you can in regards to this display.
Our second tip is the boxless collection. Your First
Step is to go to an office supply store, buy a white binder, along with
a few cd holder sheets. Go back to your home and print out a simple typed
statement such as "Tim's Sopranos Collection" or for those more advanced,
find an online image of the cast or of one of the dvd covers and type that
message at the top over the image, and slide the paper into the front of
the binder. Put the DVDs from each season into the binder, and discover
the overall decrease in space required to store several seasons at a time.
Whatever you do come up with creative ways of displaying
your collections. You wouldn't have spent the money on these DVDs if you
didn't REALLY enjoy the show, so show everyone that you don't just watch
your favorite tv show, that your a collector as well.
